General CollectionsThe general collections of the JKM Library, comprising approximately 400,000 items, consists of the library collections of the several predecessor schools of both LSTC and McCormick Theological Seminary, together with portions of the defunct Jesuit School of Theology of Chicago. The circulating portion of the collection -- identified as "stacks" in the online catalog -- is shelved on the second and third floors of the library. Materials placed on reserve by faculty are shelved behind the JKM circulation desk, and circulate for an instructor-designated period of time. 
A small circulating collection of audio-visual and curricular materials is shelved in the Educational Practice Resource Collection (EPRC) on the second floor. A small collection of Korean-language materials is shelved on the third floor after the "A's." For assistance in locating these materials, please ask for assistance at the JKM circulation desk. The reference collection, shelved on the first floor of the JKM Library, contains dictionaries, encyclopedias, indexes, biblical study materials, and bibliographies. The JKM Library currently subscribes to approximately 800 periodicals. Current and other unbound issues are on display in alphabetical order on the first floor of the library. Bound and microform copies are shelved in the general collections according to their call numbers. Current, bound, and microform periodicals do not circulate. The library maintains copies of LSTC and McCormick Doctor of Ministry professional papers, current (within the last 5 years) ACTS D.Min. in Preaching professional papers, and LSTC Ph.D. dissertations. Professional papers and dissertations do not circulate.
