Placing a Request

I want to place a request from:


How do I place an interlibrary loan request from the ATLA Religion Database, Old Testament Abstracts, New Testament Abstracts, or Academic Search Premier databases?

Locate the record of the material you wish to borrow in the respective database. For information on how to access these databases or recommendations for search strategies, please contact either Chad Pollock or Barry Hopkins.


Click on the Request from another library link.

An interlibrary loan request form will appear. Fill out the entire form, especially those areas that are marked with a red asterisk (name, department (school affiliation), e-mail address, phone number, date needed by, and the cost not to exceed (some libraries may charge to loan or photocopy their materials).

Click on the Submit button, and the request will be submitted for review to JKM staff, who will in turn forward it to those libraries that own the material.



How do I place an interlibrary loan request if the item is found in WorldCat or one of other FirstSearch databases?

Locate the record of the material you wish to borrow in the respective database. For information on how to access these databases or recommendations for search strategies,please contact either Chad Pollock or Barry Hopkins.


Click on the Borrow this from another library (Interlibrary loan) link. Note that the link is available only through the full record of an item, not the short record that initially comes up when performing a search.

Click on the Submit button, and the request will be submitted for review to JKM staff, who will in turn forward it to those libraries that own the material.


What if I can’t locate the record of the item I wish to borrow in any of the databases?

If you are unable to locate the record in any of the online databases, please send an e-mail to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it , with the following:

  • as much information as you can provide about the item you wish to borrow (author, title, publisher, date of publication, volume, pagination, etc.)
  • your name, telephone number, e-mail address, institutional affiliation, status (degree, faculty or staff), the date needed by, and the maximum cost you're willing to pay to borrow the item (some libraries may charge to loan or photocopy their materials).
