What materials may I order?
- Books which are not
in the JKM collection, or those that have the status of "Item lost, not on
shelf," or "Damaged" in the online catalog.
- Articles contained
in journals to which JKM does not subscribe, or is missing the volume/issue
containing the article, or articles for which full-text is not available in any
of the EBSCO or FirstSearch databases. The interlibrary loan request must comply
with copyright restrictions (U.S. Code Title 17 §108 (a)). JKM reserves the
right to decline to fill an interlibrary loan request which it believes violates
the provisions of copyright law.
- Periodical volumes
or issues may not be borrowed via interlibrary loan.
- Dissertations,
theses, and professional papers may or may not be available depending upon the
interlibrary loan policies of the degree-granting institution. Hard and
electronic copies of most dissertations done in the U.S. may be
purchased through ProQuest (formerly University Microfilms). Hard and electronic
copies of theses/professional papers may be available through the Theological
Research Exchange Network (TREN).
- Audiovisual
materials are generally not available through interlibrary loan.
