How do I apply for borrowing privileges at JKM?
If you are currently affiliated with McCormick or LSTC:
- Visit the JKM circulation desk in the LSTC west wing. Present your McCormick or LSTC i.d. and complete an application for borrowing privileges. On the form, please provide an email address that you check frequently. While we — as a courtesy — will contact you by phone regarding availability of I-Share materials, recalls, etc., our preferred method of communication is by email.
- Circulation staff will issue you a JKM borrower's card, with a 14-digit barcode on the back. This number is your JKM Library/I-Share account number. You'll need this number to access your JKM/I-Share account, which will allow you to place I-Share requests, renew materials, and check due dates, blocks, etc.
- If you move, change your email address or telephone number, change your affiliation with LSTC or McCormick, please contact the JKM circulation desk at circ@jkmlibrary.org within 7 days.
If you are a McCormick or LSTC alumnus/alumna:
- If you still have your LSTC or McCormick i.d. with a JKM Library barcode, contact the JKM circulation desk at circ@jkmlibrary.org and update your account information.
- If you do not have a JKM Library barcode affixed to your LSTC or McCormick i.d., contact the library at ask@jkmlibrary.org, and staff will send you an application for borrowing privileges. Complete the form, sign it, and return it to the library. The library will issue you a JKM borrower's card and send it to you via USPS. This number is your JKM Library account number. You'll need this number to access your JKM account, which will allow you to request mail loans, renew materials, and check due dates, blocks, etc.
